Day 1

Morning:

Start
Reach Kodaikanal in the morning, freshen-up at a local restaurant, finish breakfast (on you) and reach the pickup point near Kodaiakanal Bus stand / Lake by 9:00 am

Sight Seeing
Explore the Famous Sightseeing of Kodaikanal - Moir point, Pine forest, Guna caves & Pillar rock on the way to the Campsite.

Check In Check-in to the campsite for lunch and relax

Jeep Safari.
Get ready for a thrilling Jeep safari and witness Magical Sunset in the Valley View.

Night:

Campfire
Gather around the campfire and enjoy the delicious Barbecue followed by dinner and retire into tents.

Day 2

Morning:

Morning Sunrise
Start your day with a refreshing cup of tea.

Waterfalls Visit
Embark on a peaceful morning trek through nature to reach the Hidden Waterfalls.

Check Out Check out of the campsite at 10:00 am

Transfer
Head to our next campsite, we will drop you at Poombarai

Check In Reach base camp by 11.00 am, park your vehicle and start hiking to the campsite. You could also take the jeep to the campsite

Jeep Safari.
Experience a complete off-road to reach the campsite, finish lunch, relax for a bit, take a tour of the campsite and indulge in some pear picking & tasting. (Seasonal)

Sunset Hike
Evening, go on an enthralling sunset hike

Night:

Campfire
Return from the hike, finish tea and assemble for a magic campfire session under the carpet of a billion stars

Stargazing
Post campfire, finish dinner, lay down on the grass bank and indulge in DIY stargazing through the Sky Map / Sky View app.

Day 3

Morning:

Wildlife Spotting
Wake up, freshen up, finish morning tea and take a walk around the campsite to spotting some endemic birds and wildlife (Indian Gaur, Sambar Deer, Wild Boar, Wild Dogs etc

Noon:

Waterfalls Visit
Hike to a near by waterfalls and have a refreshing cold dip.

Lake Visit
Back to camp and head to Mannavannur/ Kookal lake spend quality time with nature

Check Out Head back to Kodaikanal and you will be dropped at Kodai Lake where you can do Cycling, Horse riding and catch bus to your hometown

How to get here?

1) There are buses to Kodai from Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore & other major southern towns. The pickup location is just near the Kodaikanal bus stand / Lake
2) Package includes end-to-end Transport from Kodaikanal bus stand / Lake
3) The nearest railway station is Kodai Road and from there, there are frequent govt buses & cabs to Kodaikanal (3 - 4 hrs drive)
4) Drive down on your Car / Bike. You'll get guidance throughout the trip. (Cost: 4200/Person)

Overall a wonderful experience for us first time campers. Women and kid friendly. the itinerary and schedule was followed diligently by both the Pallangi and Poombarai campsite hosts. The campsite hosts, guides and drivers are very courteous and helpful. Few things Exoticamp has to make sure is regular communication with the campers to make sure everything is going as planned as stay is in remote area. Campers should be informed on which mobile network works near the camping area and what essentials should be brought for the camping. Campsite locations and host information should be shared with campers in advance to avoid confusion.
