Located in an enviable 50-acre spice plantation in Thekkady Hills this Camp spot is anyone's dream come true! This 'you drop your camera for a minute & you will miss a beautiful photograph' campsite is home to a variety of flora & fauna. The campsite even houses a small antique museum.

Go on a spice plantation walk, spot native birds of the Western Ghats, lie in a hammock & read a book or savor the panoramic view from your tents. The campsite also spoils you with a lavish spread including some interesting native cuisine.

If you are a wildlife enthusiast who loves going on safaris & wildlife walks; then this is for you!
Presenting an exclusive 'Wildlife & Bird Camping experience' that takes you on an exhilarating journey through thick jungles & hidden trails to spot wildlife & birds.
What's more! You'd also be camping in a remote campsite from where you can spot Elephants, Bears & Gaurs through a monocular right from the campsite.

The camp would be a great learning experience for kids to get a basic understanding of nature & wildlife.

Day 1

Morning:

Wildlife Spotting
Reach Kumily in the morning, freshen-up at a local restaurant, finish breakfast (on your own) and head to Periyar tiger reserve for a safari on foot or drive to a spectacular view point near Vandi Periyar. If your are travelling on your own this would be on your own vehicles

Noon:

Check In Reach campsite, freshen-up, get your tents allocated & assemble for a mouthwatering lunch

Infinity Pool Dip
Spend your afternoon taking a relaxed dip from a makeshift infinity pool overlooking a breathtaking view of the mountains and valley

Night:

Campfire
Enjoy a fun-filled campfire over music

Stargazing
Finish dinner & do some DIY stargazing (using Skymap App) & retire into your tents as and when you wish to

Day 2

Morning:

Check Out Finish breakfast, take a tour of the host's bungalow filled with interesting artifacts, lounge around for sometime, freshen-up and checkout at 9.00 am & head to Deep forest safari.

Deep Forest Safari
Wake-up early with and get ready for a Deep jungle safari through Gavi Reserve Forest (Worth of 2000/person). Enroll and avail forest permit .

Deep Forest Boating
Embark on a serene row boat ride into the pristine forest lake with our experienced forest guide. Keep your eyes peeled and try to spot some wildlife in the adjacent grass meadows around.

Waterfalls Visit
Get dropped at a picture-perfect deep forest waterfall. Soak in the beauty of nature for 15-20 minutes, and let the tranquility of the surroundings refresh your soul.

Jungle Hiking
Return to enjoy a sumptuous traditional Kerala Sadya lunch. Afterward, embark on a guided hike to the Sabarimala Viewpoint with expert local forest guides. Capture stunning views of the hills and the famous pilgrim site. Complete your day with a visit to the museum to explore preserved animal skeletons.

Off-road Jeep safari
After a day in the deep forest, enjoy a refreshing tea break. Then, head to the campsite via an exciting off-road jeep track, making your way through the rugged terrain

Night:

Campfire
Relax for sometime, Have dinner, and assemble for another campfire session & exchange memories.

Day 3

Morning:

Bird Spotting
Wake up at your own pace and take a leisurely stroll around the campsite to spot some wildlife. Go for a walk to spot endemic birds and enjoy the natural beauty around you.

Noon:

Waterfalls Visit
Post breakfast, check out from the campsite and head to the waterfalls for a refreshing dip.

End of the trip
Reach Kumily and do some local shopping and head back to your home town with happy memories :)

*If driving your own car/bike Jeep pickup will be at Vandiperiyar for Gavi forest Safari on Day 2 morning. So you can drive to Campsite 2 after the Gavi forest safari.
**Infinity pool will be available for 8+ pax bookings.

Cancellation Policy:

75% refund for all cancellations done 7 days before the date of stay
No refund for cancellations within 7 days from the date of stay
Booking dates cannot be transferred/rescheduled
In case of govt. imposed lockdowns / Covid disruptions, an option to reschedule booking to any other date within a year will be given. No refund will be issued
Refunds if any will be credited to the source account in 7 working days

How to get here?

1) Reach Kumily by bus from Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, etc., and avail jeep transport at 1260/seat. (or 1800/Auto - 3pax) [Kumily to camp1, Camp 2 to Kumily]
2) Travel end to end on your own by car/bike (location will be shared)
3) Avail end-to-end transport from Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Mysuru arranged at an additional actual cost.
*There are no trains to Kumily
