About the campsite
Presenting Nilgiris Wilderness Camping! This campsite is located in a quite little part of Nilgiris which remains largely unexplored till this day. Perched at an altitude of 1900 meters campsite offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Moyar Valley, Rangaswamy Peak & Bhavani Sagar Dam. Set atop a tea plantation you can spend your weekend exploring tribal settlements, bathing in ice cold waterfalls, taking dips in forest streams, following quieter trails leading to beautiful view points and enjoying a cold night under the stars in a tent.

Day 1
Noon:

Check In Check into the campsite at 2.00 PM, take a tour of the campsite. Freshen-up, Finish Tea & Snacks

Sunset Hike
In the evening, head out for a breathtaking guided sunset hike to a nearby peak. You could also spot Indian Gaur, Elephants & Variety of Birds Endemic to Western Ghats (Purely by chance)

Night:

Campfire
Post sunset, assemble for a session of Campfire

Stargazing
After campfire you could sit-back and do a bit of stargazing. Near Zero light pollution & higher altitude makes for a brilliant experience.

Day 2
Morning:

Bird Spotting
Wake up to a cold morning, freshen up, finish your morning tea and go on a leisurely stroll around the campsite to spot some birds

Tribal Settlement Visit
Post breakfast, traverse through tea plantations and go on a hike to a remote tribal settlement. Entire hike route is filled with picturesque landscapes & remote view points that offer awe inspiring sights of the forest and valley below

Noon:

Check Out Return from the hike, finish lunch & check-out

Waterfalls Visit
Post check-out, go on a guided visit to a local waterfalls on your way back

How to get here?
The campsite can be accessed by both own transport and Public Transport. There is open Car / Van / Bike parking space outside the campsite

Reaching by public transport:
The nearest Railway station / Major Bus Stand is Ooty. From Ooty, there are buses available to Kodanadu (1.5 hrs). Taxis could also be availed

One could also reach Coimbatore & from there take buses / taxi to the campsite
