About the campsite

Camping is an activity that takes you as far away from civilization & as close to nature as possible. Camp above the clouds - Vagamon does exactly that. It takes you right out of your cubicles, hectic city life, mundane routine and puts you right into Nature’s wonderland called Vagamon.

Vagamon, also called the Scotland of Asia is a gorgeous little hill station located in Idukki district of Kerala. With people frequenting even tiniest of the hill stations around us Vagamon comes as a breath of fresh air that still remains untouched.

Offering breathtaking views of the Western Ghats & the valley below; wake up within the idyllic serenity of the distant mountains & surreal sight of clouds below you. Situated 1:30 hours away from Kumily, you can spend your days exploring the nature trails leading to virgin streams or simply relax with a book as you soak up the fresh mountain air and tranquility of woods. - It’s a paradise for nature lovers.

Day 1

Morning:

Waterfalls Visit
Reach Kumily, freshen-up, finish breakfast (on you) and start to a guided waterfalls visit (There are basic change rooms at the falls)

Noon:

Hiking
Post waterfalls dip, drive towards the base camp; check-out few view points en-route and reach base camp for lunch. Post lunch hike to the tent area.

Sunset Hike
Settle down into your tents, finish tea and take a stroll to a nearby peak for a fantabulous sunset

Night:

Campfire
Return from the hike, finish dinner and assemble for a fun filled campfire session

Stargazing
Near zero light pollution and remoteness of the campsite allows for a great stargazing experience. Download Skymap / Sky View app and indulge in DIY stargazing

Day 2

Noon:

Check Out Wake up to a lazy morning tea, explore the campsite; click pics; finish breakfast and check-out from the campsite

Vagamon Meadows Visit
Visit unique meadows of Vagamon, Pine forest & Paal ozhugum paarai (Subject to weather) and start your journey towards Kumily

Check Out Reach kumily, indulge in some spice shopping and start your return journey back to Chennai

Important Info

This is an off season trip for Vagamon.
So the itinery will be made flexible to accomodate the prevailing weather condiitons.

Cancellation Policy:
Full refund minus taxes & service fee (5%) if cancelled 4 days before the date of stay
No refund if cancelled within 4 days from the date of stay

Tent area has no electricity. It is advisable to carry a battery bank for charging phones.
Not suitable for elderly people.

How to get here?

1) Drive to the campsite on your own bike, car (Assemble at Kumily & follow our Jeep).
2) Reach Kumily by Bus (available from all major cities via Redbus), Car or bike(park safely) and avail our Jeep pickup and drop service Rs.600/person both way from Kumily and back. Can pay that separately later after booking the event.
